G20
Specialized BodyGroup of 20
The Group of Twenty (G20) is an international forum of 19 countries and the European Union to address global economic and financial issues. Representing a majority of the world’s GDP and population, G20 aims for cooperation on key challenges, namely trade, climate change, global health, and development. Heads of states and governments meet annually through annual summits to discuss these actions and create proposals to address them.
The digital divide is a critical issue, highlighting low- and middle-income countries that face limited access to funding, the internet, and technology. As global economies become increasingly digitized, developing nations are being left behind because they lack sufficient investment in digital infrastructure and connectivity. This topic explores strategies to bridge the digital divide, including public-private partnerships, international finance, and digital literacy initiatives. Delegates should focus on internet access, cyber-security, and digital public infrastructure. Our goal is to develop a sustainable framework that accelerates digital transformation in underdeveloped countries.
